Due to the large working range of the LED, its light output is proportional to the working current, so it is possible to reduce the current for dimming. In addition, since the frequent switching of the LED does not damage it too much, the dimming of the LED can also be obtained by pulse width adjustment. By adjusting the duty cycle of the voltage and the operating frequency, the luminous intensity of the LED can be effectively adjusted.
Fifth, in the optical system of the lamp, the luminous flux loss of the LED light source is most different from the traditional light source, and the LED is a light source that emits light in a half space. The high-pressure sodium lamp or metal halide lamp is a light source that emits light in a whole space, and it is necessary to change the direction of the emitted light from one half of the space and project it into the other half of the space. When we rely on the reflector to complete, the absorption of light by the reflector and the blocking of the light source itself are inevitable. When using LED as a light source, there will be no loss in this respect, and the light utilization rate is higher than that of traditional light sources. Finally, LED floodlights do not contain harmful metal mercury, unlike high-pressure sodium lamps or metal halide lamps that are harmful to the environment when they are scrapped.
